AI Consultant Services / proposed prompts

A sample checklist for responsible AI adoption.

Bring purpose, data boundaries, and operational readiness into the same conversation before an AI use case grows beyond its first experiment.

A practical first pass

Three conversations that make adoption more deliberate.

Work through the questions with the people who own the system, the data, and its day-to-day use. The prompts are a starting point, not a maturity score or approval.

01

Make the expected outcome and decision-makers explicit.

Purpose & ownership

  • Can the team describe the user need and intended outcome in plain language?
  • Is one accountable owner responsible for the use case and its lifecycle?
  • Have affected users and reviewers had a chance to shape the workflow?
  • Are the conditions for pausing or stopping the work clear?
02

Understand what the system can access and where information moves.

Data & system boundaries

  • Are the data sources, sensitivity, permissions, and retention needs understood?
  • Does access follow least privilege for users, models, tools, and service accounts?
  • Have provider settings and data handling terms been reviewed for this use case?
  • Have leakage, misuse, and untrusted-input risks been considered before expansion?
03

Prepare people and controls for normal use, change, and failure.

Operating readiness

  • Do people know when to review an output and where to escalate uncertainty?
  • Are useful quality, safety, and operational signals monitored by an owner?
  • Are changes to the model, prompt, data, or tools followed by reassessment?
  • Can the team pause or roll back the workflow while preserving relevant evidence?

Keep the work moving

Take a printable copy into the room.

Share the questions with your team, record an owner for the open decisions, and choose when the use case should be reviewed again.
